THOMB wins ‘Race The Studio’ F1 2021 event by EA Sports & Codemasters

Thursday 2nd december, THOMB participated in a special event organised by Codemasters and EA Sports, the creators of the Formula 1 (F1 2021) Game, called “Race The Studio”. The event set up a race against the developers of the F1 2021 Game with Lee Mather (Creative director) and David Greco (Handling expert). Top tier content creators around the world were invited to participate in the event, including names such as Aarava, Tiametmarduk, Pieface, DurkChocolate, TrilluXe, Kirbz, RTgame, Haydon Gullis, Idreau and more.

The race was done at the new Jeddah track covering a short qualifying session followed up by a short race with a pitstop. THOMB immediately showed some good pace in qualifying, taking pole position with a 1:27:7 laptime and being 6 tenths clear of Hydro in P2. Going into the race, THOMB had fierce competition from Hydro all 13 laps long, but taking the win with a huge lunge in the last lap.
